Anxiety

Anxiety tends to manifest itself in multiple ways. Sometimes it's in the form of debilitating perfectionism that causes the voice in you head to say "You're not good enough," or "You're not worthy." Sometimes it's hesitancy and all of the "what if's" that creep into your mind and prevent you from achieving goals or making the progress you want to see in life. Sometimes anxiety can result in intense rumination about mistakes or embarrassing moments from the past or worry about bad things that may happen in the future. And sometimes it's just a feeling, often with intense physical symptoms such as trouble breathing, a fast heart rate, problems with sleep or relaxation, etc.

My approach to treating anxiety involves both practical coping skills and strategies to help you manage your thoughts and physical response to anxiety, along with a deeper level exploration of how those anxious thoughts developed, and using that insight to create meaningful and lasting change.
